Senator Pittman Sends Letter Regarding Election Transparency

TOPEKA – Senator Jeff Pittman today sent a letter to Attorney General Kris Kobach regarding the recent cross-party nomination of a candidate for an upcoming election. Senator Pittman asks whether this and other nominations comply with the Kansas State Constitution, election laws, and party bylaws.

“While there have been some opinions offered, someone in your official role could help with providing transparency and clarification for the voters in my district,” said Senator Jeff Pittman. “This in turn helps ensure public trust in the accountability of the electoral process.”
