About Jennifer
Jennifer is a dedicated community leader with a passion for public service. As a long-time resident of Maize and the current City Council President, she has been a steadfast advocate for our community, focusing on lowering property taxes, funding education, and protecting women’s rights.
In addition to being the President of the Maize City Council, Jennifer is the Credentialing Specialist at the KU Wichita Medical Practice Association where she has been employed for over 17 years. She is the President-Elect for the Kansas Association of Medical staff services. She has also served on the Maize Park and Tree Board and the Maize Planning Commission. Herington is a native of Wichita, a graduate of Wichita State University, and has resided in Maize with her three boys since 2006.
As Senator, Jennifer will be a strong advocate for public education, Medicaid expansion, reproductive healthcare, and lowering property taxes.
