About John

Born and raised in Salina, Kansas, John Baker is a dedicated advocate for his community, running for the Kansas State Senate in the 24th District. John currently lives in Salina with his wife, Chelsi, and provides contract legal services for Kansas Holistic Defenders, a non-profit public defense law firm which represents financially disadvantaged individuals. 

John is running for the Kansas Senate because he believes the district deserves a Senator who will listen to their constituents and bring commonsense Salina values back to Topeka. That means protecting and investing in our public schools, supporting Medicaid expansion, and supporting Kansans’ freedom to make their own healthcare decisions.
